Cranking your air conditioning up higher than needed in order to cool your room faster!
This is a common myth which we are all guilty of! After coming back to a warm, humid office our initial reaction is to set the air conditioning unit to the lowest temperature we can, in the hope that it will cool the room faster. However, whether you set the temperature to 18 or 25 degrees, the room will cool down at the same rate.
Initially setting the temperature to 25 degrees is much more economically viable than setting it to 18 degrees and then turning it up to 25. This is because running costs can increase by up to 20% on average which can significantly add up over the course of a year.
